Alex Riberas was born in Barcelona on 27 January 1994 and began competing in karts. In 2010 he made his single-seater debut in Formula Renault continuing to compete in the category until 2012, winning four races, two at Spa-Francorchamps, at Spielberg and in the home track of Barcelona-Montmelò. In 2013 he debuted in covered wheel racing with Porsche, staying with the marque until 2016. Since 2014 he has competed in the IMSA championship in the GTD class with Team Seattle/Alex Job Racing. In his first season he came third at the 12 Hours of Sebring, a race he won the following year along with Ian James and Mario Farnbacher. In 2016 he won the race at Laguna Seca with Farnbacher and was fifth in the championship. Last November he became an official Ferrari driver and took part in the Asian Le Mans Series, winning at Buriram along with Rino Mastronardi and Olivier Beretta. He finished the 2016-17 season in second. In 2017 he is competing in the Pirelli World Challenge championship with the 488 GT3 of R. Ferri Motorsport.t.
