Imola, 29 June 2017 – This weekend the 24H Series resumes at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari at Imola for a 12 Hour race. A total of 14 cars has been entered in the A6 class, predominantly for GT3 machinery. The winners of the Mugello race, Scuderia Praha, is running its trusted Ferrari 488 GT3, but the Czech squad will be facing strong competition in the A6-Pro class from various teams. Driving the Ferrari will be Jiri Pisarik, Josef Kral and Matteo Malucelli.
Schedule. While Thursday is reserved for the usual private tests, official action starts on Friday with free practice from 9.45 until 11.15. Qualifying will be from 11.30 until 12.30. On Friday the race will start at 15 to last until 19. The competition will restart at 11 to lat 8 hours. The chequered will be waved shortly after 19.
First win in 1954. Ferrari won for the first time at Imola in 1954 thanks to the 500 Mondial of Scuderia Ferrari driven by Umberto Maglioli. During the years, more than 60 more victories came. The last one is from this year’s Italian GT championship, when Stefano Gai and Mirko Venturi won both the scheduled races on the Black Bull Swiss Racing 488 GT3.
