ALMS 2015/2016 Season Review – Dominic Ang and Josh Hunt win in Buriram

Maranello, 27 December 2016 – Two Ferrari teams, Spirit of Race and Nexus Infinity, took part in the Asian Le Mans Series season, which began in late 2015 and concluded in early 2016. The teams fielded two 458 Italia GTEs. The championship kicked off at Fuji with a second place for Rui Aguas and Nasrat Muzayyin who then dropped away over the course of the season.
 
Nexus Infinity. However, the Nexus Infinity pairing of Dominic Ang and Josh Hunt went the other way, actually winning in Buriram, Thailand. At the end of year Hunt and Ang were third in the standings with Muzayyin in sixth. Nexus Infinity finished third in the Teams’ championship and Spirit of Race fifth.
 
New season. There have been two races so far in the 2016-17 season, both won by the Ferrari 488 GT3. In the first round, at Zhuhai, Spirit of Race triumphed with Aguas, Muzayyin and Marco Cioci, while at Fuji in December, the laurels went to the car of the newly formed Chinese DH Racing team crewed by Stephane Lemeret, Michele Rugolo and Matthieu Vaxiviere. The last two championship races will take place in 2017.
