Maranello, 18 January 2017 – Ferrari customer teams also continued to control the 2016 Italian Hill Climb Championship in the GT classes. Lucio Peruggini dominated with the 458 Italia of AB Motorsport, winning in Sarnano, Selva di Fasano, Morano, Ascoli, Svolte di Popoli, Gubbio and Erice, to wrap up the title well before the Pedavena Croce d’Aune finale.
GT Cup. Ferrari also swept all before it in the GT Cup class with the 458 Challenge EVO of Vimotorsport driven by Luca Getani. The Italian driver won in his category at Sarnano, Selva di Fasano and Ascoli, in the mythical Trento-Bondone, in the Svolte di Popoli, at Gubbio and was overall winner at the Pedavena Croce d’Aune.Roberto Ragazzi finished second in the standings with the 458 Challenge EVO of Superchallenge, whose only triumph was in the Italian Hill Climb Trophy northern area.
Nappi. The durable Piero Nappi, with the 550 Maranello of Scuderia Vesuvio, recorded a sixth in E2SH class, a second in the Reventino hill climb time trial and a third at Gubbio.
